Introducing the concept of 3D printed houses to young adults looking to buy a house can be challenging. To bridge this gap, I designed HUIS01 (HOUSE01), an ideology of a house in the form of a bus stop. The name HUIS01 (HOUSE01) represents my first house design, and the word "HUIS" means "house" in Dutch.

I chose the bus stop as a medium because it's an object that can be easily modified and placed in public areas. Currently, bus stops do not add much value beyond their function. By transforming a bus stop into a house, I hope to bring a unique and thought-provoking perspective to the public eye. The design, concept, and story behind HUIS01 are intentionally simple to ensure a clear and fast message.

I used a well-known ratio for the design of HUIS01, which is based on a 2:3 ratio with a perfect 90-degree corner for the front. For the depth, I utilized the Fibonacci sequence and the golden circle, which adds an aesthetically pleasing touch to the design.

HUIS01 represents a new way of thinking about housing and encourages young adults to consider the possibilities of 3D printed houses. By placing HUIS01 in public spaces, I hope to spark curiosity and conversations about innovative and sustainable housing solutions.
